Follicular phase-inner spring
During this phase, the body recruits a dominant follicle within the ovary and supports its growth as the egg inside matures in preparation for ovulation. This process is initiated by the brain releasing increasing levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which stimulates follicular growth.
As the dominant follicle develops, it begins to secrete rising levels of estrogen. The larger and more mature the follicle becomes, the higher estrogen levels rise. This creates a continuous feedback loop between the ovaries and the brain, signaling when the follicle has reached optimal maturity and is ready for ovulation.

Why This Helps:
This meal supports the follicular phase by providing nutrients that align with rising estrogen levels and increased follicular development. Wild-caught salmon supplies high-quality protein and omega-3 fatty acids to support egg maturation and help modulate inflammation. Colourful vegetables, herbs, and citrus provide antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C to support estrogen metabolism and cellular repair, while healthy fats from avocado and olive oil support hormone production
Ingredients:
1 (preferably) wild caught salmon fillet
1/4 head of red cabbage thinly sliced
1 medium tomato diced
1 small red onion diced
1 medium avocado cubed
1 or 2 limes
1 bunch of cilantro or parsley thinly sliced
1 jalapeno diced(optional)
feta cheese for topping
salt and pepper
chipotle seasoning
garlic powder
EVOO or butter
tortillas of choice (I prefer corn)
pickled red onion(optional)
Method:
Rinse salmon fillet and pat dry. If using EVOO, massage oil into salmon. If using butter, arrange small cubes on salmon fillet. Apply salt, pepper and chipotle seasoning to taste. Place in a preheated oven or airfryer @ 400 degrees F. Roast for 10-12 minutes depending on thickness of fillet
In a bowl combine tomato, onion, avocado, jalapeno, cilantro or parsley, the juice of 1 or 2 limes and salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. Mix with a fork, mashing ingredients together until a guacamole consistency is achieved
In your tortilla add a spoon of guacamole, a piece of your cooked salmon, red cabbage, pickled red onion and feta cheese. Enjoy!
